Ryan Eggold is an American actor known for his roles in the CW teen drama series 90210 and NBC television series The Blacklist.
The talented actor also starred in the NBC spin-off series The Blacklist: Redemption

Originally from Southern California, James Frederick Eggold and Karen (née Benik) were born on August 10, 1984 in Lakewood, California.
He graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2002 and then from the prestigious University of Southern California Theater Department in 2006.
In high school, Ryan participated in many theatrical performances. After graduating from college, Ryan landed recurring roles on CBS. The Young and the Restless, HBO Entourage, Cartoon Network ‘s Out of Jimmy’s Head, ABC ‘s Brothers Sisters and the CW’s Veronica Mars, before landing her first series regular gig on FX’s Dir t.
In addition to his television work, Ryan made his professional stage debut in the acclaimed 2006 production of Ahmanson Theatre/Center Theater Group, directed by Nick Martin, has since appeared in Leipzig productions and in the production of Marat/ Sade, recipient of the LA Weekly Award.
Ryan was also involved in producing, directing and also starring in some original scripts. He created his first film – a short Con: The Corruption of Helm.
When not performing, Ryan writes music, plays guitar, piano and sings in his band.
After recently stepping behind the camera to write, direct, produce, compose and edit his film Literally Right Before Aaron, Eggold says his next career move may involve music.
“I think it will rain or shine when I have some time; I hope soon I will make a record. I have too many songs at home and I have to release some -ones.”

Recently, Ryan announced his return to The Blacklist as a series regular after leaving the show last year as its since-canceled spinoff Redemption
“It’s great to be back!” Eggold tells PEOPLE. “We were doing Redemption for a bit, which was really fun, but I missed the casting. I’m now trying to get back into shape, of course.”

“I am an old man. I go quiet. I wouldn’t say I handle attention well; I would say I stumble on the pickup lines. I’m not good at this. I am a 90 year old male since I was 12 years old. I’m not good with it, but I try to stay at least a little involved. “

Ryan told Page Six that an ex-girlfriend once told him that she would marry someone else and that Eggold would regret their breakup for the rest of her life.
